‘Nuisance snow’ to hit southeastern PA, NJ Friday into Saturday
Jan 10, 2025
The storm predicted to hit southeastern Pennsylvania and southwestern New Jersey Friday into Saturday should not leave that much snow in its wake according to forecasters.
“For tonight, we still have a system on tap to affect the area as low pressure tracks northeast from near the Gulf coast Friday evening and then eventually moves off the coast of North Carolina by Saturday morning,” the National Weather Service forecasters’ discussion for the Philadelphia region, based in Mount Holly, New Jersey, stated Friday morning. “Snow moves in southwest to northeast after midnight Friday night and tapers off by mid-morning (slightly after 7 a.m.). Overall, there has been little change to snowfall totals with this update as this continues to look like a nuisance snow event.”
Once again, no major changes to the snowfall forecast for Friday night into early Saturday. Light snow beginning between 10 PM to 3 AM from SW to NE, ending around 7-10 AM Saturday. Generally a dusting to 1", perhaps as much as 2-3" south. #PAwx #NJwx #DEwx #MDwx pic.twitter.com/ytQw0YemYj
