COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Crews with the Columbia-Richland Fire Department were about to extinguish a Wednesday night fire, said the fire department.
Officials said, firefighters responded to a fire at a home on Hazelwood Road shortly after 7:15 p.m.
When they arrived to the scene, crews found smoke coming from a storage area/extended living space in the space of the home.
The fire started from a wood burning stove on the structure, said CRFD.
Two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.
The fire department got help with the fire from the Fort Jackson Fire Department.
