COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Crews with the Columbia-Richland Fire Department were about to extinguish a Wednesday night fire, said the fire department. Officials said, firefighters responded to a fire at a home on Hazelwood Road shortly after 7:15 p.m. When they arrived to the scene, crews found smoke coming from a storage area/extended living space in the space of the home. The fire started from a wood burning stove on the structure, said CRFD. Two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.
