CHARLOTTE, NC – Crews at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) are monitoring the storm system heading toward the Charlotte area that will bring snow and a wintry mix to the region on Friday.
Crews were deicing planes Thursday morning as temperatures dropped ahead of the wintry weather.
CLT says it is preparing its now teams and its fleet of nearly 40 snow removal and de-icing vehicles. The airport says it will remain open, despite any bad weather.
However, people who are flying into or out of Charlotte on Friday and Saturday should check with their airline before heading to the airport to make sure flights are not impacted.
