MANDAN, ND (KXNET) — By law, the city of Mandan must have values set for all real estate within its limits by February 1 each year. There are property tax exemptions and homestead credits available for those with real estate in Mandan. But the deadline to apply for some of them is also February 1. In general, forms for property tax exemptions for nonprofits, paraplegic disabled exemptions, blind exemptions, wheelchair exemptions, new home exemptions, and remodeling and new business exemptions are due February 1. Forms for homestead property tax credits for senior citizens and disabled persons, and veterans property tax credits are due March 31. The Mandan Assessing Department recently mailed forms to property owners enrolled in these programs in 2024.
