A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the homicide of a Mexican teenager in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, San Diego police said. The incident was reported just after 9:35 p.m. Sunday on Willie James Jones Avenue near Imperial Avenue. Police found 19-year-old David Solis, a resident of Tijuana, in the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his torso. Solis was transported to a hospital but died, police said Wednesday in a release. Police said that prior to the shooting, two men were spray painting a wall in the area and became involved in a fight with Solis during which he was shot. One of the men, identified as 21-year-old Edwin Aguayo, was arrested in connection with the shooting just after 10:40 p.m. near Interstate 5 and Del Mar Heights Road. Police did not say where Aguayo resides. The second suspect remains outstanding.
