MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The death of a 28-year-old Madera man has shaken his family and the community at large after his untimely and sudden passing.
Rene Reyes' family and loved ones are still in disbelief after the 28-year-old was suddenly found unconscious on Tuesday.
Reyes graduated from Madera High in 2014 and now leaves behind a community of fellow graduates who are equally stunned and heartbroken by the loss.
A GoFundMe has been set up by his family. In the GoFundMe, Reyes' family shared treasured memories of who Rene was to them.
"He wholeheartedly believed WWE was real," his sister Kayla Reyes wrote. "He spent a significant amount of time playfully wrestling anyone he could find."
Kayla says her brother Rene would usually claim victory in his impromptu wrestling matches. She also says her brother was a talented welder and as a sibling, father, uncle and son, Rene's devotion was unmatched.

"He was amazing," Kayla wrote. "Always spoiling his niece and nephew with trips to the corner store for treats and toys every other weekend - he never missed a chance to let his mom know how much he loved her."
The GoFundMe has reached 20% of its overall goal, the Reyes family says they're already grateful for anyone who's donated.
