Edmond family safe after early morning house fire, says Fire officials

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) - Fire officials say a Edmond family including pets are safe after a early morning house fire.
According to Edmond fire, a family woke up to flames inside the home around 2:30 a.m. Firefighters say, upon arrival flames were spotted coming out of a front window near East 15th Street and South Coltrane Road.

Deadline to get a Real ID quickly approaching
Batt. Chief Barry Garrett, Edmond Fire Department says, "Just a reminder, watch your, and I'm not saying that's what happened here but just a reminder to watch your heating sources and candles and stuff like that this time of year because this is a common deal."
The fire was knocked down quickly while a investigation into the cause continues.
