MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A Batesville, Mississippi man was arrested after a traffic stop led authorities to illegal drugs and guns. On December 31, James Daugherty, 57, was pulled over by the Panola County Sheriff's Office for traffic violations. Reports say during the traffic stop deputies found controlled substances and a gun in Daugherty's possession. James Daugherty (Photo courtesy of the Panola County Sheriff's Office) The discovery led to a search warrant at Daugherty's home, where the PCSO seized 888 grams of methamphetamine, 544 grams of marijuana, and eight firearms, one of which was stolen. A large amount of cash was also found at the home, according to the sheriff's office.
