KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- As the Kansas City metro and surrounding areas continue to dig out from this past weekend's snowstorm, more winter weather is on the way. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for locations south of the Kansas City metro. Joe’s Blog: Sneaky snow system ahead (WED-1/8) The advisory will be in effect from 5 p.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday. Light snow totals of up to two inches are expected with a dusting possible for the metro and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Slippery road conditions could impact Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
