(KRON) -- A motorcyclist is in critical condition after he was involved in a crash in Mountain View on Tuesday, the Mountain View Police Department said. The crash happened at about 1:53 p.m. on Shoreline Boulevard just north of Villa Street. Officers arrived to find the cyclist unconscious. Mayor-elect Lurie calls for change to SF law enforcement, despite historic crime low The biker was taken to a hospital and is now listed in critical condition but is expected to survive. There were no other people or vehicles involved in the crash. MVPD shut off northbound Shoreline Boulevard for close to four hours as they investigated the crash. Police have not determined a cause of the crash, but drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors. There has not been a fatal crash in Mountain View since December 2023.
