APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - The Appleton Police Department provided an update regarding a welfare check incident that occurred on Friday on North Bay Street.
According to the release, the individual involved in the incident died from a self-inflicted injury. Officers responded for a welfare check on Friday afternoon, and the situation escalated as the victim wielded a firearm.
