HUSKER FOOTBALL: Buschini to Enter NFL Draft Nebraska punter Brian Buschini announced his plans to enter the 2025 NFL Draft on Monday.  According to a post on ‘X’, Buschini wrote he would “give making the NFL my best shot just like I did when I was a little known walk-on out of Helena, Montana”. Buschini expressed his gratitude to his teammates and coaches, and said he would cherish all the memories made inside Memorial Stadium. Former Husker WR Transfers Lands at Big 12 School From the NCAA Transfer portal, former Nebraska wide receiver Jaylen Lloyd, who entered the transfer portal on Dec. 30, announced his commitment to Oklahoma State. Lloyd, an Omaha Westside graduate, played in all 13 games for Nebraska in 2024 with three starts. He set career highs with 13 catches and 255 receiving yards and no touchdowns. As a freshman, Lloyd played in 10 games as a true freshman including one start. He caught six passes for 237 yards and three touchdowns. Rodriguez Finalist for Honda Sport Award Nebraska volleyball player Lexi Rodriguez is one of four players that are finalists for the Class of 2025 Honda Sport Award for Volleyball . The Honda Sport Award it recognizes top women athletes in 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports and symbolizing “the best of the best in collegiate athletics.” The recipient of the sport award will become a finalist for the prestigious Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the 2025 Honda Cup, which will be presented during the live broadcast of the Collegiate Women Sports Awards Presented by Honda on CBS Sports Network in June. The volleyball finalists were selected by a panel of experts and coaches from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
