Suspect in 2016 murder of elderly Woonsocket woman to appear in court
Jan 07, 2025
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man accused of murdering an 81-year-old Woonsocket woman in 2016 will be on trial Tuesday.
Matthew Dusseault previously pleaded not guilty to the murder of Constance Gauthier in March of 2016.
Gauthier’s body was found in her home, after her neighbor, 23-year-old Tyler Grenon told police he saw her body through a window.
Police said the home was ransacked to make it look like there was a robbery, and forensic evidence had been tampered with.
Grenon was also charged in the murder along with Dusseault.
Dusseault is scheduled to appear in Providence superior court Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.
