KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Multiple school districts across the Kansas City metro will remain closed Tuesday following this past weekend's winter storm. Roads and highways throughout the metro remain dangerous with snow and underlying ice. Winter car hacks: Tips and tricks for dealing with snow and ice Multiple cities have seen 10 or more inches of snow, including Blue Springs, Overland Park and Leawood. The Kansas City, Missouri School District announced just before 3 p.m. that students will not report in-person or virtually on Tuesday. Staff will work remotely. Other school districts closed on the Missouri side include Liberty, Blue Valley, Spring Hill and Odessa. Park University said its main campus and Independence campus will be closed on Tuesday. On the Kansas side, Olathe, Shawnee Mission, Kansas City, Kansas, Piper, Turner, Leavenworth, Bonner Springs/Edwardsville, De Soto, Eudora, Gardner-Edgerton and Basehor-Linwood school districts have all announced they will be closed on Tuesday. View the latest Weather Alerts in the Kansas City region on FOX4 Lee's Summit, North Kansas City, Blue Springs, Park Hill, Belton and the Center School District announced they will have an Alternative Methods of Instructions (AMI) day and students will need to check online for assignments. The Platte County School District, Hickman Mills School District and Kearney School District have also announced Tuesday will be a virtual learning day for students.
