(KRON) -- A motorcyclist was arrested after leading Sonoma County Sheriff's Office deputies on a chase that exceeded 100 miles per hour on Sunday, the sheriff's office said.
A deputy tried to stop the motorcycle with no license plate at about 4:15 a.m. in the area of Highway 101 and College Avenue. The driver fled northbound on Highway 101.

SCSO used its helicopter to keep track of the motorcycle as it passed cars alongside the highway shoulder. Eventually, it pulled into a parking lot along Old Redwood Highway.
The rider tried to hide behind a parked car but was located and arrested by Windsor deputies. He was identified as 23-year-old Omar Martinez.
The sheriff's office credited the helicopter for allowing it to pursue Martinez from a distance, which it says reduces the likelihood of high-speed chases ending in crashes.
