KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- After several inches of snow over the weekend in Kansas City, you might be wondering if your trash pickup will be impacted. Many metro cities will have delays this week due to drivers needing to focus on clearing the roads. How much snow did the Kansas City metro get? Here is a list of some metro cities and how your trash pickup will work this week: Kansas City Trash and recycling services will be canceled on Monday and Tuesday due to the need for drivers to concentrate on treating roads following the snowstorm. Residents who are impacted can leave two additional bags at the curb next week without using bag tags.  Olathe There will not be any trash collection on Monday, Jan. 6. The collection date for all customers of solid waste will be rescheduled by one day until Saturday. (Monday collected on Tuesday, Tuesday routes on Wednesday and so on). Kansas City, Kansas There will be a delay in this week's waste management trash and recycling pickup in KCK. If the weather permits, Monday's route will run on Tuesday. Prairie Village Republic Services will not operate trucks on Monday due to the winter storm, which will affect trash services.
