TOPEKA (KSNT) - The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka reports it's ready to treat injuries after a rocky week with due to a diversion caused by a power outage and winter storm. Terri Benson, a spokeswoman for St. Francis, said the hospital is currently open and accepting patients but outpatient and urgent care locations will be closed on Monday, Jan. 6. The hospital encourages community members to stay home unless necessary. "Hospital-based outpatient services will remain open, including: imaging, cath lab and surgical services," the hospital told 27 News. On Jan. 2, the hospital announced that it was having hardware issues that caused a power outage. On Sunday, Jan. 5, the hospital announced that it had resumed operations and had ended its diversion status. Monday morning Highway update for NE Kansas "We appreciate the support and cooperation of our community partners during the power temporary outage," the hospital wrote on Sunday.
