Two teens were in custody after shots were fired at Chicago police officers Sunday night in South Chicago on the South Side. Around 7:35 p.m., officers were responding to a disturbance in the 8200 block of South Coles Avenue and noticed multiple males in the area when one of them fired a shot in their direction, police said. They tried fleeing the scene on foot but two 17-year-olds were placed into custody, officials said. Two firearms were recovered. No officers fired their weapons.
