Colts take down Jaguars in overtime in regular season finale

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Colts beat the Jaguars 26-23 in overtime in the regular season finale.
Jonathan Taylor had another huge day for the Colts, rushing for 177 yards and a touchdown.
The win snapped a three game losing streak against the Jaguars.
The Colts finished the season 8-9 and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season.

Overtime
3:20 – The Jaguars failed to convert on 4th & 22 and lost the game. Mac Jones was sacked for a loss of 16 yards by Zaire Franklin on third down.

5:23 – The Colts take the lead on a 38 yard field goal from Matt Gay, his fourth field goal of the game.

4th quarter
End of the 4th quarter – The Jaguars took a knee to send the game to overtime.

:15 – The Colts got just one first down in their attempted two minute drill and were forced to punt.

1:44 – Jaguars kicker Cam Little hits his third field goal of the game of the game, this one from 53 yards, to tie the game.

3:52 – The Colts put together a 43 yard drive to set up a 45 yard field goal for Matt Gay to retake the lead.

7:50 – The Jaguars tied the game on a Parker Washington touchdown. Washington fumbled at the 1 yard line, recovered the ball, and got into the end zone for the score. It capped off a 14 play, 84 yard drive that chewed up almost seven minutes of clock.

14:54 – The Colts were not able to convert on third down and were forced to punt again. They got one first down on the drive, converting on 3rd and 3 earlier in the drive on a Josh Downs six yard catch.

7:58 – Julian Blackmon intercepted Mac Jones on a deep pass intended for Brian Thomas Jr. at the one yard line. It was the first turnover by either team in the game.

0:13 – Matt Gay hit his second field goal of the game, this one from 36 yards. A 37 yard gain on defensive pass interference helped the Colts get into field goal range late in the half.

1:25 – The Jaguars trimmed the lead on a 28 yard field goal. Brian Thomas Jr. had his biggest catch of the game thus far on a 41 yard bomb down the middle of the field.

3:22 – Matt Gay put the Colts up by seven points on a 49 yard field goal.

8:04 – The Colts forced their second three and out of the game, with Kwity Paye sacking Mac Jones on first down.

9:32 – The Colts put together their second touchdown drive of the game, this one an eight play, 70 yard drive. Joe Flacco found Michael Pittman Jr. on the sideline for a 26 yard gain on the drive, and Jonathan Taylor capped it off with a six yard rushing touchdown, his sixth in his last three games.

1st quarter
2:03 – The Colts failed to get a first down on 4th & 1. Joe Flacco scrambled for it, but was knocked out of bounds short of the line to gain. The Colts picked up one first down on the drive on a 12 yard Jonathan Taylor run. The Jaguars will get the ball at the Colts 48 yard line.

4:19 – The Colts forced a Jaguars three and out, stopping a Tank Bigsby run on 3rd & 1 for no gain.

6:17 – The Colts got one first down, but a 12 yard sack of Joe Flacco caused the drive to stall out after just four plays. The Colts punted to the Jacksonville 9 yard line.

8:12 – The Jaguars tied the game on a 1 yard Tank Bigsby touchdown. It was the first time all season the Colts allowed an opening drive touchdown. The Jaguars went 70 yards in 10 plays on the drive.

13:50 – The Colts received the ball first and made quick work of the Jaguars defense. Joe Flacco led a three play, 70 yard touchdown drive that was highlighted by a 40 yard touchdown pass to Alec Pierce.
