Central Ohio Weather and Radar COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Ohio counties have issued snow emergencies Sunday as a large winter storm is bringing heavy snow showers to the state throughout the afternoon and overnight. Live VIPIR radar: Track winter weather A snowstorm is developing in southern Ohio and is expected to arrive in central Ohio Sunday evening, bringing between 4 and 6 inches in the greater Columbus area, and up to 10 inches of snow in the southern part of the state. Current traffic conditions in central Ohio According to the Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness, there are three classifications of snow emergencies. LEVEL 1: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.
