Massachusetts State Police rescue injured owl on highway

PELHAM, Mass. (WWLP) - Massachusetts troopers started the new year in a unique way when they found an owl with a broken wing on Route 202 and brought it to safety.
Enfield police use drone to bring woman to safety
On January 1, Massachusetts State Police Troopers Matthew Buscanera and Sean Mucci received a report from Pelham that an injured owl was on Route 202. Further investigation showed that the owl had been struck by a car and that its wing had been broken as a result. The owl was carefully moved from the road by the troopers and brought inside the police cruiser.
State police made arrangements for the injured owl to be sent to a rehabilitation center in Conway, New Hampshire.
