STILES, Wis. (WFRV) - A 24-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of an Oconto County crash after her vehicle flipped multiple times when it hit a ditch next to USH 141. According to the Oconto County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a one-vehicle crash on USH 141 around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, January 4. A preliminary investigation showed that the SUV, being driven by a 24-year-old woman from Wausaukee with a 1-year-old child, was heading north on USH 141 when it left the road and drove through the eastside ditch. 28-year-old Wisconsin man dies after sustaining life threatening injuries in two-vehicle crash Deputies say the SUV then hit the south intersecting ditch, causing it to be launched over the road. The SUV reportedly flipped multiple times before coming to a rest in a yard next to the highway. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and the 1-year-old was taken to a local hospital to be checked for any injuries. An ongoing investigation into the crash is being conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office. No additional information was provided.
