Yet they’re going to need one more win to clinch the division. Sunday night’s game between the Lions (14-2) and Minnesota Vikings (14-2) is for the NFC North, the NFC one seed, and a critical first-round bye in the playoffs. It’s a massive game by any stretch of the imagination, and arguably the NFL’s biggest regular season game in the Super Bowl era. The last time the two teams met, the Lions walked off U.S. Bank Stadium with a game-winning field goal with only 15 seconds remaining.
