PIERRE, S.D. – After a two-week layoff for the holiday break, the Pierre Governors were back on the court Saturday, but they dropped their third straight game, 79-64, to the Bismarck Demons.  With the win Bismarck reclaimed the Governors Cup trophy, which Pierre had held for the past two seasons.  The Demons came out hot, hitting five 3-pointers in the first quarter in racing out to a 22-13 lead.  Pierre cut the lead to two in the second period, but Bismarck stretched it back to 42-32 at the half.  A fast start to the second half for the visitors from the north helped them maintain a double-digit lead the rest of the way.  Andre Austin led Bismarck with 20 points and seven assists, while Luke Olson also tallied 20 to lead the Governors.  Pierre hosts Sioux Falls Washington in their next game, Saturday at 2:00.  Coverage will be available on RIVER 92-7 and https://drgnews.com/river beginning at 1:30.
