Kansas City Chiefs en route to Denver after being stuck on runway

UPDATE: The Chiefs have taken off from KCI after crews treated the airfield and runways.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Ahead of the Chiefs' Week 18 matchup with the Denver Broncos, severe winter weather has swept into the metro.
While the team was set to depart this afternoon, the weather, along with a broken-down treatment truck, forced KCI to shut down the airfield. Now, the FOX4 sports team has confirmed their plane is stuck on the runway.
The Chiefs-Broncos game is set for tomorrow at 3:25 p.m. Depending on how long the KCI airfield remains closed, the game may need to be rescheduled.
The Chiefs originally planned to leave before the storm could affect their travel plans, however, the plane they were set to fly in was delayed arriving to KCI.
As of around 4:45 p.m., City Manager Brian Platt claims that KCI runways will "reopen and resume normal operations in about 30 minutes."
This is an ongoing situation, FOX4 will provide updates as they're made available.
