FARGO, N.D. (KXNET) — An attempt to locate a fugitive in Fargo led to the arrest of three different individuals on the evening of Sunday, December 29 — two of which possessed active or outstanding warrants. According to a Facebook post from the Fargo Police Department, at approximately 12:37 a.m., department staff began a search for 31-year-old city resident Jeremiah McDonald in the 2500 block of 9th Street North. Here, they found a white Jeep Patriot in the area's parking lot that was previously reported stolen from Moorhead, MN occupied by two individuals: 30-year-old Blade Kenyon and 22-year-old Fargo woman Mackenzie Higdem. When police began to approach the vehicle, it fled the area at an extremely fast speed, and officers gave chase for some time. The pursuit was eventually suspended due to the suspect's reckless driving, but the Jeep would later return to Fargo. At the same time, a separate Fargo PD officer was stated to have spoken with the victim of a separate vehicle theft, who noted that they had been in contact with McDonald before the incident (which took place on December 27th). The information they provided allowed police to locate and apprehend him near 21st Avenue and 15th Street South without issue. McDonald was noted to have several active warrants at the time, including charges of robbery, 3rd-degree assault, gross misdemeanor theft, and multiple relating to drugs and drug paraphernalia. North Dakota Crime Tracker 2024 Shortly after McDonald's arrest, officers received a tip from a citizen that the stolen vehicle was parked in a garage in the 3500 block of 42nd Street South, and that the suspects were inside discussing their previous encounter with law enforcement. Here, officers were able to locate Kenyon and Higdem, as well as the Jeep. Kenyon reportedly surrendered to police, and Higdem attempted to flee on foot but was quickly captured. Kenyon was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, as well as multiple additional outstanding warrants from Cass County. Higdem was also taken into custody and charged with refusal to halt. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox. Subscribe Now Today's Top Stories SIGN UP NOW
