Built in 1900 and located in Aurora’s Tanner Historic District, the Victorian-style house on North View Street sits on a corner lot and has a wraparound front porch and a turret that rises three levels. The house has 2-1/2 bathrooms, hardwood floors on the main and upper levels, natural light throughout, a primary bedroom with a balcony, and a recently renovated kitchen with a walk-in pantry, new stainless steel appliances and eat-in area and granite countertops. Other features include a living room with a fireplace and built-in bookshelves, a dining room with coffered ceilings a family room that overlooks a park and a finished walk-up attic with its own separate heating and cooling system. Downstairs, the house has a partially finished, walkout basement. The house has been updated with new plumbing, a new roof and upgraded electrical systems. The sellers paid $268,000 for the home in 2018. They first listed the house for sale in June for $449,000, and they cut their asking price to $424,000 in July before finding a buyer. The deal closed in August. “The sellers tried to maintain the Victorian feel of the property while at the same time trying to give it an updated look throughout,” listing agent Don Hampton of Fathom Realty told Elite Street. “It’s a very big home, so it has a lot of space and it has a lot of unique features that I think were much more prevalent in the Victorian era.
