LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Good morning Kentucky! We are tracking a round of light snow moving through the area for your Friday morning. This is ahead of cold air moving in tonight and that cold air will be in place through the day on Saturday setting the stage for what’s to come on Sunday. Our first major winter storm of the season is expected to arrive on Sunday and last through the day on Monday. Significant ice and snow will be possible with this system, though the exact location for each is still in question. Arctic air will be sweeping in on the backside of this system and that bitter cold air is expected to stick around awhile. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued Sunday into Monday for central & northern Kentucky due to the potential of significant ice and snow. Stay with the ABC 36 Storm Team for more updates.  Categories: Featured, Local Weather Headlines, Storm Team Weather Blog, Weather, Weather Forecast Tags: ABC 36 Hour Forecast, ABC 36 Second Forecast, Arctic Blast, ice storm, Kentucky, Lexington, Meteorologist Dillon Gaudet, weather forecast, Weather Video, Weekend Forecast, winter storm
