Photos: Guns seized after New Year's Eve shooting in North Carolina

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — Two people were arrested on New Year's Eve after a shots fired incident near Oak Grove Avenue, police said.
According to officials, just after 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the area of Oak Grove Avenue for reports of shots fired.

While at the scene, officers detained two juveniles and three adults while in the 100 block of Beechwood Avenue. Officers then seized two 9mm handguns and one 40-caliber handgun. Police said no injuries or property damage were reported.

As a result of an investigation, officers arrested and charged 20-year-old Christopher Dale Albert with felonious possession of a firearm with an altered serial number and possession of a concealed weapon. 21-year-old Joshua Thomas Marquette was also arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a concealed weapon.

Albert was placed under a $12,500 secured bond at Albemarle District Jail. His next court appearance is expected to be on Thursday.
Marquette was placed under a $2,500 secured bond at Albemarle District Jail. His next court date is expected to be Jan. 28.
