Two men were killed and 17 others injured in shootings across the city Tuesday night into Wednesday afternoon, Chicago police said.A man, 29, was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in the 9400 block of South Harvard Avenue at 3:30 a.m. in Roseland, police said. No one is in custody.Around 12:30 p.m., a 51-year-old was shot to death during a robbery at a store in the 7500 block of South Racine Avenue in West Englewood, according to police. No arrests were reported.More than a dozen others were wounded in shootings throughout the night of New Year's Eve.Around 2:50 a.m., a woman, 43, and man, 38, were in a "verbal altercation" in a residence in the 1200 block of South Sawyer Avenue when the man shot her several times, police said. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition; the man was arrested after officers searched the area near where the shooting occurred in North Lawndale.Fifteen minutes later, a man, 30, was standing outside in the 4500 block of South Champlain Avenue at 3:05 a.m. when he was shot by someone driving by in a red vehicle, police said. He was shot in the face and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he is in critical condition; no one is in custody.Other shootings:About 8 p.m. Tuesday, a 19-year-old man was inside an apartment in the 1100 block of South Mozart Street when someone fired shots from an unknown direction. He was shot in the right thigh and was taken in good condition to Mt. Sinai Hospital, police said. A man, 18, was walking outside in the 6900 block of South State Street at 11:26 p.m. Tuesday when someone in a white vehicle shot him in the ankle, police said. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition; no one is in custody. A man, 29, was in a vehicle in the 1600 block of West Division Street at 2 a.m. Wednesday when he was shot in the leg, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition; no one is in custody. A woman, 33, was in a vehicle in the 500 block of South Kostner Avenue at 2:35 a.m. when she was shot in the hand by someone in a white vehicle, police said. She took herself to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was in good condition; no one is in custody. A man, 44, was in a residence in the 3100 block of South Green Street at 2:47 a.m. when he was shot by another man, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition; no one is in custody. A man, 22, and woman, 32, were in a residence in the 4200 block of West Wilcox Street at 3 a.m. when a verbal altercation started between them and two men, police said. One of the men shot the 22-year-old in the left shoulder, and the woman took him to Stroger Hospital where he was in good condition; no one is in custody. Two men, 46 and 32, were standing outside in the 7000 block of South Eberhart Avenue at 3:10 a.m. when the younger man shot the other man the foot, police said. The 46-year-old was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition. The 32-year-old was later arrested and charges are pending. A man, 22, was in a residence in the 6600 block of South State Street at 3:30 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, police said. He was shot in the leg and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition; no one is in custody. A man, 24, was in a residence in the 6900 block of South Hoyne Avenue at 4:20 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain in his ankle, police said. He took himself to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition; no one is in custody. A woman, 36, was in a residence in the 13100 block of South Ingleside Avenue at 4:25 a.m. when she was shot in the arm, police said. She was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition; no one is in custody. A woman, 42, was standing in the lobby of an apartment complex in the first block of North Latrobe Avenue at 4:30 a.m. when she heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. She was shot in the leg and foot and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition; no one is in custody. A man, 35, was walking in the 6600 block of South Wentworth Avenue at 4:30 a.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. He was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in good condition; no one is in custody.—- A man, 51, was in a store in the 7500 block of South Racine at 12:31 p.m. Wednesday when two people entered, one with a gun, police said. He was shot in the chest and leg and died at University of Chicago Medical Center. No one is in custody.
