BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Baton Rouge man was among those killed in a terrorist act in New Orleans on New Year's Day.
"Facebook family and friends please keep our Hunter and Curry family lifted in prayer as we deal with the senseless loss of our beloved cousin Reggie Hunter. An innocent victim of that terrorist attack in New Orleans," his cousin Shirell Jackson said in a social media post.
Hunter just had sent a Happy New Year's text to a family group chat, Jackson said in her post.
Around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, a car drove into a group of people on Bourbon Street. The New Orleans Police Department said 15 people were killed and over 30 others were injured.
