CHARLEMONT, Mass. (WWLP) - A skier was taken to the hospital by helicopter after an accident at Berkshire East Mountain Resort in Franklin County. Route 5 in Bernardston closed due to crash Charlemont Fire Chief Dennis Annear told 22News the ski accident happened at around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon. Due to the severity of the skier's injuries, they were flown to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield which is the nearest trauma center to the mountain. Their exact condition is not known at this time.
