RAYNHAM, Mass. (WPRI) — Two people have died after a single-car crash Monday night in Raynham. Crews responding to the area of East Britannia and Thrasher streets around 9:36 p.m. found a car leaning up against a tree. Police said the vehicle went airborne before hitting the tree. ALSO READ: Victims identified in deadly Acushnet house fire The driver, 26-year-old Averi Costa-Burton, of Fall River, was ejected from the vehicle, according to police. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said the front-seat passenger, 28-year-old Dorryn Robinson, of New Bedford, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 25-year-old Fall River man, who was sitting in the back seat, was flown to Rhode Island Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
