How to watch Lions vs. 49ers on TV, online streaming, radio information, and more. Sunday’s results really took the air and excitement out of the Detroit Lions’ Week 17 matchup. All week, this game had been billed not only as an opportunity for the Lions to potentially clinch the NFC’s top seed, but Detroit could also avenge their NFC Championship loss from last year by taking it to a San Francisco 49ers team that is already out of the playoffs.
But the minute the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon, the excitement of this game was sucked out of the room. The Lions cannot clinch anything on Monday night, and they only reason Detroit vs. San Francisco would mean anything is if the Lions and Vikings Week 18 matchup ends in a tie. The NFL has already moved onto Week 18, hyping up the NFC North showdown as the “Sunday Night Football” finale with this epic poster:

While fans and 30 other teams have moved on to the final week of the season, don’t expect Dan Campbell and the Lions to treat Monday night any differently. Campbell has already publicly said that they are playing to win regardless of the stakes.
“We’re bringing everything that we have to this game, and we are playing,” Campbell said last Monday. “And I don’t care what it looks like, and where it’s at, or who’s this, who’s that, we’re going out to play and win this game out on the west coast. So, there you go.”
So if you’re still interested in watching this game, here’s how you can catch Lions vs. 49ers on “Monday Night Football.”
