Springfield fire department puts out Stuart St. fire

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)- A fire damaging a car and home on Stuart Street has been put out by the Springfield Fire Department on Sunday morning.
Good Samaritans save a dozen people from apartment fire in Springfield
Firefighters arrived at 16 Stuart Street at around 6:50 a.m. in response to reports of a fire. Springfield Fire Captain Drew Piemonte said three people have evacuated the home as a result of the fire, and are currently being assisted by the Red Cross.
The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
