LINCOLN—(KFOR Dec. 28) The Parks and Recreation Department  will launch a new online reservation platform for parks and center facilities beginning January 2, 2025. The new CivicRec site will streamline the reservation and payment process by providing users with a more efficient and friendly experience. Patrons may visit the site and set up accounts now at lincoln.ne.gov/CivicRec. During the transition to the CivicRec platform, all online facility reservations will be unavailable through January 1, 2025. During this time, reservations for center facilities must be made by calling or visiting center locations during business hours. Reservations for other parks facilities such as enclosed shelters will not be available until January 2, 2025. “We are thrilled to take this step forward with the launch of the new online platform,” said Maggie Stuckey-Ross, Lincoln Parks and Recreation Director. “This upgrade will not only make it easier for our community to access and reserve our facilities, but it also reflects our commitment to enhancing user experience and service. Our team is excited to offer a more efficient, seamless way to enjoy all that Lincoln Parks and Recreation has to offer.” The new system is designed to simplify the reservation process, Stuckey-Ross said, by allowing users to accomplish multiple tasks from one convenient platform.
