ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — It is time for Friday’s Primetime 585 Shining Star Spotlight – bringing attention to some student-athletes who are brightening up our community! Today, News 8 is highlighting Ethan Mitrano! Ethan is a member of Penfield's Track & Field. He has risen the Section V and State Leaderboard in the Throws! Since last year, Ethan improved his Shot Put distance — after some hard work and dedication to the sport, he can now throw more than six feet. His Weight Throw is also more than 12 feet! Not to mention, he has also been teaching and coaching younger student-athletes. Outside of Track & Field, Ethan has his eyes set on a few schools to continue his throws. He has a 3.7 GPA, but he has not committed to a school, so stay tuned! Congratulations to Ethan Mitrano from us at News 8!
