BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — The Bismarck Marathon has been a popular event in North Dakota for over 40 years. While the 44th annual run won't take place until September of 2025, those interested in attending can get a head start as early as New Year's Day. According to a press release from the Bismarck Marathon, the event is North Dakota's longest-running marathon, and has attracted runners from every part of the United States throughout its many years in operation. Over time, the event has grown to include community activities, as well as multiple athletic events for guests to take part in (including full and half marathons, a 10k, and a 5k).
