METTER, Ga. (WSAV) — The Candler County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) warned anyone who may be thinking of taking them on a high-speed chase.
"Unlike the movies, we don’t stop at the county line and wave goodbye," the Facebook post by CCSO said. "We’ll chase you till the wheels fall off – literally."
CCSO said that on Wednesday night they assisted the Metter Police Department (MPD) with a vehicle pursuit that hit speeds over 100 mph.
Law enforcement was able to stop the driver, after it crossed into Emanuel County, with help from the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office, the MPD and Georgia State Patrol.
"Next time, just pull over. Take the L," CCSO said.
They also warned against foot chases and said that they're not afraid to call in K9s and other methods of catching people.
