Man causes 'significant damage' to Providence restaurant
Dec 27, 2024
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a man accused of vandalizing a high-end steakhouse in Providence Thursday afternoon.
Edward Barlog, 43, has been charged with vandalism after he caused "significant damage" to the Capital Grille, according to a city spokesperson.
Officers took Barlog into custody after he ran out of the restaurant and toward Waterplace Park. It's unclear exactly how Barlog vandalized the restaurant at this time.
Barlog is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning. Court records indicate he was out on personal recognizance after being charged with breaking-and-entering earlier this year.
