North Carolina wife charged with murder of husband

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — A 35-year-old woman was charged with second-degree murder Thursday following a domestic dispute with her husband.
At approximately 1:25 a.m. on Thursday, Elizabeth City Police Department officers responded to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in reference to a reported gunshot victim.

Upon arrival, officers were advised by hospital staff that the victim, 39-year-old DeVaughan Leon Bell had died from his injuries.

An investigation determined the victim's wife, Tanyce Kionna Griffin Bell, 35, shot her husband.
Mrs. Bell is currently being held at the Albemarle District Jail under No Bond. Her first court appearance is set for Monday, Dec. 30.
