One juvenile in nonlifethreatening condition after shooting in Lafayette Esplanade

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- The Fort Wayne Police Department are investigating after a shooting that occurred in the Lafayette Esplanade Thursday afternoon.
According to a release from FWPD, they received reports of shots fired in the 4700 block of Lafayette Esplanade, just north of Southgate Plaza, just after 4:30 p.m. Shortly after receiving reports, officers were dispatched to an area hospital where a male juvenile had shown up with gunshot wounds.
The wounds were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Officers and Detectives canvassed the area for further evidence.
