(KRON) -- A commercial burglary suspect who fled from Vallejo officers in a stolen vehicle was arrested after slamming into two unoccupied vehicles, the Vallejo Police Department said Monday.
Police responded on Dec. 16 to the report of a burglary in progress at a business on the 300 block of Tennessee Street. Suspects rammed a vehicle through the store’s front entrance after failing to pry the doors open, witnesses told Vallejo PD. The burglars fled the store in multiple vehicles with more than $9,400 in merchandise and caused an estimated loss of $14,000 to the business, including damages, according to the store owner.
Descriptions of the suspect vehicles were provided by witnesses, including a Honda Pilot that was later determined to be stolen out of Oakland, Vallejo police said. Officers located the Honda during an area check, and a pursuit was initiated when the driver failed to stop.
