2 airlifted after Williamsburg County collision shut down section of highway

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – First response crews responded to a three-vehicle accident near Greeleyville Tuesday afternoon with ‘serious injuries.’
The collision occurred on Highway 52 South near Gamble’s Crossroads and Greeleyville, according to the Williamsburg County Fire Department.
Two individuals were freed from being trapped in the wreckage and airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.
A section of the road has reopened, after all lanes were closed. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and take an alternative route.
