BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The first day of Hanukkah falls on the same day as Christmas this year and will continue for eight days.
Chabad of Baton Rouge is getting ready to celebrate ten years of hosting the free event that's open to the public this weekend.
Chanukah at the state capitol will be Sunday, Dec. 29 on the front steps of the state capitol starting at 4:30 p.m.
The event is perfect for the entire family. Attendees can enjoy a hot latke bar, menorahs, face paintings, the great chocolate gelt drop and more.
Organizers are also planning to celebrate Hanukkah in other cities across the state.
