Worker trapped after row house collapses in DC, fire officials say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Several first responders in Washington, D.C. were on the scene in Northwest Monday morning after a row house collapsed, trapping a worker.
Details remain limited; however, in a post on X, the DC Fire and EMS Department said crews were on the scene of a significant collapse in the 1100 block of V Street.
Officials told DC News Now that shortly after 9:30 a.m., a call came in for a building collapse with a man trapped under a large amount of debris.

Officials said crews were completing demolition work when the building fell.
The fire department said the structure collapsed at the back of a two-story row house.
As of Monday morning, rescue operations were ongoing and a K-9 unit was on the scene.
