One arrested in connection to homicide in Broken Bow

BROKEN BOW, Okla. (KFOR) - One person was arrested following a fatal shooting in Broken Bow on December 18.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, McCurtain County deputies responded to a home near Slater Rd. and Rock Hill Cemetery Rd. regarding a shooting.

LOCAL NEWS: Antlers man arrested after child abuse investigation
Upon arrival, they found 57-year-old John Elkins with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say the investigation led agents to 26-year-old Christopher Lee Thomas. He was interviewed and based on the information gathered, Thomas was arrested and booked into the McCurtain County Jail on First Degree Murder.
The OSBI says the investigation is still ongoing.
