Get Hawaii's latest morning news delivered to your inbox, sign up for News 2 You With big waves come big responsibilities that only the most experienced waterpeople would know how to handle. One incident saw a large wave flip a ski and send it tumbling across the shoreline. Lifeguards and the Hawaiian Water Patrol were able to right the ski, get it turned around in seconds and held it steady as waves continued to roll in. When the timing was right, a group pushed the ski back into the water. Later, another incident saw ski operators bucked off by the water as the ski beached itself. Lifeguards and Hawaiian Water Patrol rushed over to grab the ski, got it turned around, the operators back on and right back out into the surf.
