‘Verbal dispute’ occurred before Oakland double homicide: OPD

(KRON) – Two people were found dead in an Oakland residence on Friday night, according to the Oakland Police Department.
Oakland police officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Fairmount Avenue around 11:15 p.m., where they located two victims who sustained a gunshot wound(s).
Paramedics responded to the scene. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Oakland Police Department said officers learned “a verbal dispute ensued between multiple individuals prior to the shooting.”
The victims' identities are being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
