WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A person is dead after getting hit by a car early Saturday morning in east Wichita. It happened just after 1 a.m. near Lincoln and Oliver. The person hit was transported to the hospital with critical injuries but died before 2 a.m. "Another motorist driving southbound on Oliver informed officers that the pedestrian was wearing all black and was positioned in the inside lane of northbound Oliver at the time of the collision," said Wichita Police Department Public Information Officer Andrew Ford. The age and name of the male victim have not been released. Police say the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
